Scorpio Rises, zodiacal sign ruling debt, co-ruler Mars in the 8th house of debt in dualistic Gemini, signifying that something looms beyond surface appearances.  Co-ruler retrograde Pluto in the 2nd house of bankers is trine Jupiter in wealth-related Taurus...the bankers are working on a plan to further enrich themselves at the expense of Americans via lack of employment (Jupiter in 6th house).  Pluto square 5th house Uranus cautions stock market investors against sudden upheaval, as sweeping changes are in the cards.

The Midheaven (MC) is conjoined Fixed Star Regulus: Heart of the Lion, Lawgiver...its meaning to regulate, adjust by rule.  Astrologer Bernadette Brady states that it symbolizes one who can "gain great success by facing a particular nemesis."  Snuggled right up to that MC, however, is Mercury in the 10th house (administration) approaching its retrograde station, opposing an already retrograde Neptune...and so Americans are left with an executive branch wherein confusion reigns supreme.  Very telling is the placement of the New Moon in the 9th house, the 12th house of the administration, suggesting secrets that involve congress, as the Leo New Moon forms a sextile to 11th house Saturn.  Always take advantage of an opportunity, eh? Is congress about to become obsolete by the formation of a "Super Congress?" 

Debt ceiling negotiators are attempting to create a new legislative body - a Super Congress - that would place more power in the hands of the beltway power players that would, in effect, limit the power of the average congressperson.  And here is where the diversion comes in mentioned in my previous essay, here is where the duality shown in this New Moon chart manifests...the creation of an unconstitutional legislative body for the purpose of stripping the public of present benefits, otherwise known as socking it to the elderly, while simultaneously socking it to the taxpayers...all without accountability...what a coup!

The 20th degree of Scorpio on the Ascendant proposes that the public remain self-possessed no matter what bizarre adventures life throws their way, as a new reality is upon us.

As the world watches the debt-dithering dog and pony show in D.C., and Americans hold themselves from disgorging, many are in shock... but awakening to the lack of leadership in the country, as elected and selected members of government attempt to make it appear they are useful and well worth the outrageous salaries and benefits they pay themselves.

On the other hand, the cusp of the 11th house of congress is on the last degree of Libra - denoting a crisis situation pertaining to those in the legislative branch - and squared by Pluto (corporate welfare, economy) from the 2nd house of bankers...an indication of income from hidden sources for purposes that should be obvious, considering the rulerships.

The transits reveal a concerted effort at diversion as transiting Pluto in the 1st house, ruler of the 12th house of behind-the-scenes machinations and co-ruler of the 2nd house of bankers and the nation's wealth - opposes natal Jupiter...the result of which is corruption and abuse of power that transpires in secret - otherwise known as terrorism inflicted upon the people (Pluto, ruler of 12th in 1st)...ethics and morality (Jupiter) being beaten to a pulp.

Cancer is on the 8th house cusp of national debt, Mercury in Cancer posited therein, so we have Moon and Mercury as co-rulers of our obligations, the Federal Reserve, social security, etc.  We undoubtedly will not experience hope but Americans can count on change as transiting Mercury is about to move into retrograde mode late in the day on August 2nd.  For the following three weeks the country will think debt matters are settled but stay on your toes, Americans, because soon after Mercury turns direct in motion the errors decided upon will be revealed...as Saturn forms a conjunction to its natal position (Saturn return) and squares natal Sun...a transit of critical developments that produces a period of trial.

ASTROLOGY AND HEALTH: LEO

ZODIAC SIGN OF THE MONTH - LEO

Each sign of the zodiac rules a specific part of the human body and has requirements distinct from all other zodiacal signs. Because the astral body occupies a plane where due to velocities exceeding those of light spacial relations are of an entirely different order, it has both zones and compartments whose interrelation is not consistent with our conception of low-velocity three-dimensional existence.  Thoughts, feelings and impulses are the foods of the astral body, and each type has an affinity for some one of the twelve compartments of the finer-form makeup.  Thus thoughts and feelings about the personality immediately are assimilated and move into section one of the astral body, mapped by the first house of the birth-chart.  Thoughts and feelings about money and personal possessions move into compartment two mapped by the second house...etc. 

While the order of sequence is always the same, there may be the widest variation in the relation of the thought-cells in a given compartment to sections of the physical body which these thought-cells affect.  Thus the thought-cells relating to money may, in one person's astral form, be in the feet (Pisces on the cusp of the second house); and may in another person be in the knees (Capricorn on the cusp of the second house)...etc.

Where the physical difficulty indicated by a prominent and afflicted planet is most apt to manifest, therefore, is indicated in the chart of birth by the sign occupied by that planet, by the signs ruled by that planet, or by the structure or organ of the anatomy the planet rules. In the human body Leo rules the spine, the back, and the heart.

The biochemic salt related to this sign is Magnesium phosphate (Mag. phos.), and because we feel pain or sensation through the sensory nerves and our response to the sensation received through these nerves results in motion or action, it acts upon the motor nerves.

Mag. phos. is the great anti-pain salt and is indicated in all cases of cramp and spasm, or where application of heat brings relief.  Headaches, neuralgias, earache, spasmodic twitching of eyes or limbs, menstrual discomfort, convulsions, and all heart troubles.  Mag. phos. helps one to "let go" and relax.

People who were born with the Sun or Moon in Leo or have Leo on the Ascendant, and when planets in Leo or the Ascendant are under progressed or transiting afflictions can avoid problems associated with the Leo cell salt and enjoy excellent health by supplying their bodies with Magnesium phosphate.

HERBS THAT RESONATE WITH LEO

Chamomile, daffodil, cowslip, anise, eglantine, fennel, eyebright, dill, lavender, poppy, yellow lily, marigold, St. John's wort, mistletoe, pimpernel, parsley and garden mint.

Marigold (Calendula officinalis).  The flowers have astringent and antiseptic properties that help fight infections, including colds and flu, herpes virus, bowel and fungal infections.  Hot marigold tea increases circulation and promotes sweating so as to alleviate fevers, throw off toxins, and improve the immune system, blood and lymphatic circulation.  The flower tea can also help to regulate women's menstrual periods.  Two teaspoons of the dried flower heads to eight ounces of boiling water, cover and steep 10 minutes.

AROMATHERAPY FOR LEO

Lavender (Lavendula officinalis) is a superb antiseptic first aid remedy as it speeds healing by stimulating tissue repair while minimizing scar formation.  The essential oil of Lavender can be applied neat to relieve pain, speeding healing of burns, insect bites, stings, sores and wounds.

Lavender works wonders for muscle spasms and cramps when combined with valerian.  Mix two drops of each oil with a little carrier oil (olive oil is fine) and massage into the spasm.  Relief follows quickly thereafter.

For relief of tension or nervous stress, add about ten drops of Lavender to four to six ounces of water in a spray bottle and spray away...very good to spray in the bedroom when insomnia strikes.

MINERALS THAT RESONATE WITH LEO

The talismatic gem ruby, and such stones as the chrysolite (peridot), malachite and green aventurine, green and pink tourmaline, and soft yellow minerals.  The Heart Chakra (4th Chakra) is energized by these stones and so, too, the circulation.

Ruby stimulates the heart chakra and assists in the attainment of values by gathering and amplifying energy while promoting and stimulating mental concentration.  As a shielding stone it protects on all levels and guards safely one's consciousness from psychic attack.

MR. PUPPY SEZ - JULY 2011

Leo pussycats are elegant, regal and commanding.  They

demand lots of affection and are quite assertive about obtaining same.  Pride is key here...and it isn't only pussycats that are proud...puppydogs are also in this category...like Sydney Basset hound exhibited so many years ago when a group of teenagers laughed at him.  He stopped dead in his tracks, turned towards them and just stared them down in his kingly fashion.  It is good to remember that the Leo born require saving face in stressful situations, and that includes pussycats and puppydogs.  Realizing this, I told Sydney he was the handsomest doggie in the world and should pay no attention to ignorant people.  He responded by looking up at me with acknowledgment in his eyes, turned back to the path, and off we went to continue our adventure, his tail held high.

The cardiovascular system comes under the influence of Leo.  Nutritional deficiencies, such as lack of vitamin E or selenium, may damage heart muscles; also, taurine deficiency is the biggest cause of heart problems in cats...so do take care to see that kitty is provided with necessary nutrients. 

FOR OUR HOOMIN COMPANIONS

The most beneficial and well known herb for the cardiovascular system is Hawthorn (Crataegus oxyacantha), used for irregular heart beat, to improve coronary artery blood flow, to lessen plaque build up in arteries, and to regulate high blood pressure.

Hawthorn may be taken in tincture form or by preparing an herbal tea:  take one or two teaspoons of dried leaf and flower, pour 8 ounces of boiling water over the herb, cover and steep for 15 minutes;  or put two to three teaspoons of  the dried crushed berry in eight ounces of boiling water for 15 minutes.

UNITED NATIONS

A protocol of deposit of ratification was signed by the USA Secretary of State on October 24, 1945 at 4:45 p.m., in Washington, D.C., after the requisite number of states had deposited their ratification documents in the USA State Department in Washington, earlier in the day.

Aries Rises, ruler Mars conjoined Saturn in Cancer in the 4th house, describing lust (Mars) for authority (Saturn) in their tenacity (Cancer) to own global land (4th house). 

Mars is in its fall (a state of debilitation) in Cancer, Saturn in Cancer is in its detriment...meaning it has difficulty in operating naturally.  The Mars/Saturn combination here creates frustration that brings out a most dangerous kind of energy that can lead to violence should the UN be challenged.

Uranus in the 2nd house trine Jupiter equates to a vast  accumulation of wealth via socialism (Uranus) and so the tentacles of Agenda 21 reach throughout the globe.  Agenda 21 is the UN's blue print for the complete restructuring of nations and local communities, to devise a mold of their own construction for the purpose of global governance, one that outlines a completely managed society that will dictate the process of how industry, housing development, education and industry are to be used.  The plan of an all-powerful central government is all-encompassing and one must wonder if the United Nations hasn't morphed into the NWO, where the psychopaths usurp sovereignty, property rights, economic liberty in their grab for power, resources and land.

THE ASTROLOGY OF HEALING WITH CRYSTALS AND GEMSTONES

Vibrations strike a sympathetic response from - and thus influence - other things having a similar vibratory key.  Each sign of the zodiac acts as a sounding board according to the specific part of the heavens in which the sign is found, having its own peculiar tone that can be stimulated by certain crystals and gemstones for the reason that gemstones stimulate healing within the physical body based on the principles of resonancy (harmony and vibration).

Because biochemical properties of the physical body are based upon vibration, the physical body is healed through energy that extends from the biomolecular to the cellular level and eventually to the anatomical level, where it is brought into harmony with other levels of the physical body.

Example:  Ruby is the gemstone of the sign Leo, which rules the heart and spine.  When applied to the heart chakra, the ruby brings into focus within the individual patterns reflecting distress with the parental image of the father and aids the individual in knowledge of the ability to give and receive love.

Many years ago my dear friend Kathy wrote an article entitled "Talismanic Gems."  I copy it - with her permission - as written:

"Talismanic gems are particularly active crystals which have been attracted about lively souls or astral forms occupying one of the lower evolutionary planes than that of humanity, known as the Mineral Kingdom.  The active life of the soul of the gem can be seen in its brilliancy.  For example, some opals are full of energy and are ablaze with color and shine, while others appear "dead" and lackluster.  Due to the high degree of astral intelligence possessed by certain kinds of gems and the powerful vibrations they radiate, gemstones can exert considerable influence on life.  Care should therefore be taken in their selection.

In addition, certain points in the astrological chart are particularly sensitive to the vibrations of gems reaching them on the astral plane, such as the Sun sign and rising sign.  If a birthstone is worn, which is a gem ruled by the zodiacal sign occupied by the Sun on the day of birth, and the natal Sun is heavily afflicted by discordant aspects, sign placement or both, the honor, self-esteem, and even the well-being may be adversely impacted.

With full knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of a particular chart, a gem may be selected to stimulate business success or for any other purpose.  As a general rule luck will be attracted if a gem is selected which corresponds to the best planet or sign in the chart.  The best planet or sign can be ascertained through utilization of the Astrodyne System, a system of mathematics which measures the harmony or discord of all planets and signs on the chart.

JAPAN UPDATE

Japan's horoscope appears in the center ring, progressions in the middle ring, and transits in the outer ring.  Progressions (hereinafter P) and transits have been computed for July 11, 2011.  P of outer planets are effective for years and become active as transits create a trigger.

PROGRESSIONS:  Saturn and Capricorn rule foundations, Uranus and Pluto rule earthquakes.  There is one Capricorn placement in the natal horoscope, Jupiter.  It is, and has been, stimulated by P Mercury in Cancer in opposition.  P Mercury is also trine natal Mercury in Pisces, affording a reconciliation of energies, ergo release via water in the past, as P Mercury is now separating from exact aspect.

P Jupiter @ 4* Capricorn 49 is being transited by retrograde Pluto, which will turn direct in motion on September 16, 2011 @ 4* Capricorn 53...within 4' of exact position...very powerful, very ominous.

P Pluto @ 5* Gemini 51' is in Quintile (72*) aspect of natal Saturn (foundations/land) @ 16* Leo 27'...the aspect falls within 1* 24'.  The Quintile aspect represents the 5th Harmonic and is connected with abuse and violence in its destructive manifestation, as are the two planets here in combination.

DECLINATIONS:  The Parallel, an aspect of intensity, is formed when two planets occupy approximately the same degree of Declination, either both North or both South, or when one is North and the other is South of the celestial equator (a contra-parallel).  When two planets are an equal distance from the equator, either north or south, they set up synchronous vibrations within the earth's astral substance that have an effect somewhat like those produced by a conjunction in the zodiacal signs...they tend to facilitate the manifestation of the full tones of both.  A contra-parallel aspect manifests as does an opposition and with great intensity.

Natal Jupiter is 23* S 06' and receives a contra-parallel aspect from P Sun, a contra-parallel aspect from P Mars, and a contra-parallel aspect from transiting Venus. 

TRANSITS:  Transiting (hereinafter T) Neptune conjoins natal Mercury in Pisces and sextiles natal Jupiter in Capricorn...water and earth.  T Uranus @ 4* Aries 34' has formed a long-lived sextile aspect to natal retrograde Pluto @ 4* Gemini 00' and to P Pluto @ 5* Gemini 51.'  Earthquakes are ruled by Uranus (on its destructive side, untamed energy) and Pluto (on its destructive side, demolition).

The Lunar Eclipse of June 15, 2011 @ 24* Sagittarius 23' formed a square to natal Mars at 25* Pisces 14', a forewarning of violence via water.  At the time of Japan's birth in 1889, the Fixed Star Scheat was located at 27* Pisces, conjoined natal Mars.  It is a Fixed Star of extreme misfortune...suicide, drowning, unpredictable nature.

Considering both progressions and transits, it would be in the best interests of the people of Japan to relocate to other countries...preferably soon.  I would surely like the USA to welcome these industrious and honorable people with open arms, as long as they are cognizant of the dangers of living in our cities and head for well-armed southern states, preferably located in the mountains...nice rural areas with farmland and cattle and where every 12-year old boy owns and knows how to use a shotgun.

IN THE NEWS: ATF - BUREAU OF ALCOHOL, TOBACCO, FIREARMS & EXPLOSIVES

Data:  Parented by the Department of Justice, this government agency was born on July 1, 1972.

Happy 39th birthday on July 1, 2011...with a Solar Eclipse conjoined natal Sun and the Gunwalker Scandal in high gear, a congressional probe into the ATF operation named "Fast and Furious," wherein "straw purchasers" were allowed to buy guns in Arizona and ship them to Mexico, the purpose of which was to track their shipment to Mexican drug cartels.  However, the ATF lost track of the guns, subsequently found at crime scenes in Mexico (near Nogales, Arizona), where a U.S. Border Patrol agent was killed.  In short, murdered by incompetents in the ATF and the Justice Department.

The chart reveals a prominent Uranus squaring the Sun, lending a tendency to shoot oneself in the foot.  Additionally, the June 1st Solar Eclipse conjoined natal Saturn may have had a tad to do with the disgrace of this government agency...Saturn rules responsibility and karma: as in Ruby Ridge and Waco.

Ruby Ridge, Idaho:  On August 21, 1992, ATF agents attacked the Weaver family, killing their dog and one son, followed the next day by the murder of Vicki Weaver as she held her 10-month old child.  Transiting Jupiter in Virgo square natal Venus = excessive emotionalism on the part of the ATF...transiting Uranus square natal Uranus in Libra = erratic behavior disguised as justice.

Waco, Texas:  In 1995, Rep. John Dingell of Michigan described the ATF as "jackbooted American fascists." 

On February 28, 1993, the ATF conducted a raid on the Branch Davidians in National Guard helicopters with guns blazing.  Thereafter the FBI and US Army took over, conducting the massacre that murdered dozens of men, women and children on April 19, 1993.

The transits on February 28, 1993:  Transiting Jupiter conjoined natal Uranus = failure to live up to responsibilities.  Transiting Mars conjoined natal Sun = ego run amok.

What the United States suffers is a government that has failed to exercise oversight and demand accountability from the agencies under its control.  The Department of Justice has disgraced itself yet again, meanwhile attempting to lay blame on the agency it neglected to monitor.  Scapegoat, anyone?

RUSSIAN FEDERATION

Virgo Rises, ruler Mercury in Gemini, the other sign it rules, at a point of new beginnings in the 9th house, drawing energy to international events.  Mercury in the sign of its home rule is well aspected, being trine the Moon and sextile Mars.  In the decanate of its own sign it is powerful in matters of the mind; Russians see not merely the details of a problem, but view it completely, perceiving the proper relation of each part to the whole.  An enlightening friend, a formidable enemy.

Russia's Sun at 21* Gemini is conjoined the USA Mars, and so there is a natural rivalry between the countries.  Like the USA, Russia has a 7th house Mars and sports a Mars/Neptune square, revealing each country's penchant of mass emotionalism that accompanies war.  And make war they do...and will.

Russia's Sun forms an inconjunct aspect with Jupiter in Capricorn of The People's Republic of China, and so the respective ambitions of the two countries conflict, causing an uncomfortable rivalry between them.

Russia's Sun is square the Moon in Pisces of the German Federation; there is a difference in temperament wherein Russia is likely to offend Germany.

The Lunar Eclipse of June 15, 2011 @ 24* Sagittarius 23' fell on Russia's IC, opposing the 9th house Sun, giving Russia an opportunity to get out of a rut with regard to home rule.

The New Moon Solar Eclipse of July 1, 2011 @ 9* Cancer 12' falls into the 10th house opposing natal Uranus in the 4th house.  Exciting times and sudden turns of events may be expected connected to public recognition and status in the world.

In August 2011, transiting Saturn will square natal 4th house Neptune, revealing vulnerability at home base and a poor time to make decisions.  Shifting sands require simplified living.

SOLAR ECLIPSE JULY 1, 2011 - LOOKING AT IT FROM ANOTHER PERSPECTIVE

The Solar Eclipse - a conjunction of Sun and Moon, ergo New Moon - occurs in the sign Cancer, first decanate.

Kabbalistically, the sign Cancer symbolizes tenacity to life and governs the powers of inspiration and respiration. 

Upon the Intellectual Plane, Cancer symbolizes the equilibrium of spiritual and material life forces.  This sign expresses the conservation of forces; its chief attributes are sensitiveness and reflection.

The first decanate (first ten-degree segment of a sign) of Cancer is depicted in the heavens by a little yapping cur - Canis Minor - a mongrel without courage or loyalty.  By it the ancient masters sought to convey the thought that this section of the sky is particularly susceptible to domestic intrigue and where strong emotions may easily carry people away.  The lesson put forth is that a persistent effort must be made to cultivate the qualities of faithfulness.

Cancer symbolizes the need for emotional security, for feeling that one's environment will support one's existence, for feeling nurtured by those around one and also the need to support and nurture others.  Cancer's greatest strength is one with nature's great strength.  She creates and preserves life.  She creates for it the atmosphere where it can mature until it is ready to stand on its own feet: the instinct to self-preservation.

Self-preservation demands knowledge of self, of one's body, one's spirit, of how to heal that which was, and may still be, wounded.  Healing oneself by nurturing is the spiritual message of this eclipse.  Releasing that which is the tendency of Cancer to cling to...emotional wounds, some of which are grounded in the spiritual plane and require persistent effort in order to become whole.    Eclipses stir things up.  Solar Eclipses signal beginnings.  It is not possible to begin unless we first change.  Cancer is a Cardinal sign and states: it is time to meet this crisis head-on and accept it as a personal challenge.

Where are you wounded?  Place a malachite cabochon over your third eye, allow the transformative energies of malachite to provide the transfer of sacred information that will clarify the emotions and allow for both the recognition and the release of negative experiences which you cannot otherwise recall.  This mineral can help you to look deep within the self and to acknowledge the reasons supporting an illness, further guiding and supporting you in the release of the emotional causative factors.

Cancer is the first of the watery signs and thus relates to baptism...that is, the Sun, as symbol of deific power, as it makes it annual pilgrimage, must go into and come out of, the water sign Cancer before it can return to its own home in the next sign, Leo.  In a natural birth-chart Cancer rules the conditions at the end of life and signifies, as baptism does, a readiness and willingness to enter upon a new and higher form of life, a willingness to enter the Father's fold.
